About the project
The Classical Antiquity and Czech Culture is a long-term project of the Department of Classics and Classical Reception at the Centre for Classical Studies of the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v. v. i.. The project collects and studies documents to the Classical Reception in the Czech lands from the beginning up to the present. The research aim of the project is to assess the role of the historical, social and cultural processes labelled under the term Classical Reception in the constitution and constant redefinition of Bohemian, Moravian, Silesian and Czech culture.
The database software was provided and adapted by Lanius in 2006.
The database is a member of the collection MEMORI, which is a part of the research infrastructure LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ, a joint, distributed Czech national node of European research infrastructures CLARIN ERIC (Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure and DARIAH ERIC (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities. The LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ project (LM2018101 and CZ.02.1.01/0.0/0.0/16_013/0001781; formerly LM2010013, LM2015071) is fully supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic under the programme Large Research infrastructures.
